Stage Combatant, Fight Director, Teaching Artist

Lara has been studying and performing stage combat for over fifteen years, training with SAFD certified teacher Bret Yount (London), SAFD Fight Master J. David Brimmer (NYC), Shakespeare and Co. (Lenox, MA), and En Garde Entertainment (NYC)--where she was also an assistant teacher. As a performer, her fight work has been featured at The New York Renaissance Faire, The Medieval Festival at Fort Tryon Park, live corporate events,TV commercials, and on stage in NYC and regionally. She served as Adjunct Lecturer in stage combat for Utica College and has taught combat workshops for Roberts Wesleyan College, LeMoyne College, Southern Arkansas University, and Wake Forest University. Her fight choreography has been featured in WallBryd Theatre Co.'s The Duchess of Malfi, Penfield Players's Deathtrap, SAU’s She Kills Monsters, WFU’s Julius Caesar, and many more.
